“Some people turn sad awfully young”?

You know what’s the funny thing about sadness? It’s not the absence of happiness like how darkness is the absence of light. You can not be happy but that doesn’t necessarily mean you are sad. In fact, ‘happy’ and ‘sad’ are far too broad. 

I am feeling empty. Empty to the point that I feel total lack of ideas, meaning, or substance. More fittingly, I am alive but not living. But no, I am not sad, not sad at all.
